Lazertown - The Story, and what´s to come 🎶

Hi! 

We from Lazertown are happy that you´re keeping interest in what´s happened and
what´s happening. This is a lookback of the story and some about on whats going on right now and what is to happen in the future!

Heres the Promopic in the end of the summer 2019

Everything started when Daniel asked Henrik to design an albumart for the Retro Future project.
This was in the end of spring 2019
Henrik offered himself to remix and to soundengineer some of the synthmusic of the this album.

Daniel realised that the music is becoming better with two brains working rather than one.
And now we are collaborating with making the music! It´s great to give eachother feedback and ping-ponging ideas!

This artwork made by Henrik is featuring a woman that is sunbathing in front of a large tv with a pixelsun.
It´s in the future but the pixelsun on the tellie is retro. There can be different kinds of symbolism in this picture and its up to the viewer what it´s all about.

Daniels idea, first was about how we were looking at the future back from the 80s.

The album is inspired by the electronical music from the 80s and some Jean Michel Jarre sound in the end of the 70s. There is the nostalgic touch on this EP with the typical 80s sounds. Kids playing the C64, Atari and AMIGA knows this soundlandscape.

In the paper!

Three weeks before the release of the Retro Future Lazertown is featured in the local paper Kuxabladet in Ockelbo. Daniel is grown up in the village and Henrik is living there right now and is working with this paper.
Here we got some publicity :) "Here´s the Synth music coming from Ockelbo"


The Release - Some drama

23 of October the EP The Retro Future is out on Spotify, Itunes, Google Play and so on.
Daniel stayed up the night it was released to 1.00 AM wich was the releasetime and got some technical problems so he thaught the release was a fluke. But in the morning he could read on FB that Henrik wrote: And boom were live!
Great relief!!!



Bloopers

Johan Beijer was the photographer of the promopics and it were lots of pictures taken and lots of peculiar pics. Daniel had an idea of using these pictures and Henrik made a funny artwork of it:

Whats going on right now?

We´re planning to release an new EP with 4 songs and its coming soon in the end of October or in the beginning of November. The songs are already written and there some technical stuff left and the artwork is right now in the making by Henrik. We're going to use the human voice both of Henrik and Daniel in this release.

Though living in Gothenburg and Ockelbo the collaboration is possible with the magic of the internet.

What's going on in the future?

Well, we have some material in the machines that we're going to be creative with and there is coming a sequel to The first EP The Retro Future. This is fun and more is to come!
